Juan Wright - Music Educator, Conductor & Trombonist

Introduction

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website!

This site began as a small collection of blogs and photos I originally shared on the Sheean Prash website. Over time, I felt it would be more fitting to bring everything together in one place—so here it is!

Here you’ll find my performance schedule, biography, blog, and the latest news and updates. As always, I’d love to hear your feedback.

Next Performance

Details of my next opportunity to perform will be posted here—so please check back soon!

Teaching

I continue to offer both face-to-face and online lessons via Zoom, Facebook Messenger, or WhatsApp. For more information please Contact me here.

Approach

For me, music is about working hard, sharing moments with people, and having fun along the way. I love being able to perform regularly, and I’d love  to see you at a concert or show sometime soon. Have a look at my calendar—or drop me a message, I’d be glad to hear from you.

Testimonials

Many thanks for playing the trombone so beautifully at last week's Carol Service at Malew. It was a very welcome addition to the service, I have never before heard such versatility on a trombone, it was lovely.

Mrs Hilary Sewell FCSM (Hons), LTCL, LLCM, ARCM - organist. December 2015.

Dear Team Brass

Thank you SO MUCH for your fantastic playing in this year’s concert. I have a very good friend who comes every year and who has been coming from way, way back in Alan’s days onwards, and she does not hold back from giving her honest opinion.  In many ways I value this - although sometimes in the immediate aftermath of a concert you just want people to say nice things 🤣! Anyway, in the immediate aftermath of yesterday she said it was her favourite combined choral/orchestra concert that she could remember and, get this, she particularly thought the brass were absolutely outstanding - her words were ‘so together’ ‘so strong, but never overpowering’ ‘so emotional’ ‘so vibrant’.  I think I’d have to agree with all of this.  I know not all of you were playing in the Stopford piece, but Ryno, Ash, Siân and Juan - it was fantastic...  And then The Armed Man - you are all so integral to the success and overall effect of this work  - I particularly love the contrast of you leading everyone to battle in Charge to the complete change in the Agnus Dei where the brass are used as the comfort really, the pulse through it.  Just everything was great though...
